What you have accomplished is incredible. I was raised in the UK and now live in Las Vegas, USA, where the state schools are consistently ranked among the worst in the nation. I am reading The Schools We Need, and would love to recreate your school model in the U.S. Do you believe it possible to do so, and do you offer some form of guidance? I have two daughters, 5 and 10, and would love to be up and running for high school (age 14) so I do not have to send them out of state.

What would Government education need to be to reflect your approach and effectiveness?

Hi Katherine, despite the best efforts of people like yourself, do we have to accept that a small percentage of immigrants will always see the west as the enemy of non believers to be conquered?

Hello. What would you say the biggest challenge is for families who cannot decide whether or not to send their kids to a different school than whats socially “acceptable” and how would you address those concerns? Thank you for supporting real education!

What is your opinion of Ofsted?

How do you ensure that your staff are adhering to your ethos and do you have the means to train other educational establishment to follow your methodology?

After grades 1-3 in America, I was a on track to join the unskilled labor force, and then my parents freaked out and hired a tutor for not much money. This one great tutor taught me math and writing and got me fully up to speed. It took about 50 hours of tutoring over a one year period.

How many hours per week would a great teacher like you require for teaching a child to achieve and sustainably maintain the same long-term educational results that typical public schools achieve through full-day instruction over the course of a year?

Perhaps a bit “meta” of a question, but I think I need to make any questions I propose to Triggernometry’s guest more concise so as to make it easier for the hosts to actually ask the questions that I have, so that they don’t struggle with making real time edits during the show to match the flow of the interview. Any recommendations as an educator on this point?

My son has started his pgce this year but the first three weeks were all about sustainability and mental health. He described it as feeling like brainwashing. How does this get interpreted in schools as it was not a two sided debate but presented as fact during the training?

Should we be trying to emulate the world of sports clubs where talented children are scouted and developed to try and being out the best mathematicians, writers, scientists etc. rather than simply saying one classroom for all? (There are the grammar schools but these have been severely neglected over the past years and are no longer sufficient)

How do you think artificial intelligence will impact your institution, pupils and staff and the wider field of education.

As a new dad, if my child has no other option but to go to a public school, what are skills I should focus on teaching them if we can no longer count on schools to be fair and unbiased when dealing across different cultures, races or genders?

One of the problems I encounter in education is when students fall between what mainstream settings can provide and being given a place at a specialist setting (sometimes because the local authority believes mainstream is the correct setting and sometimes because specialist settings state they cannot meet need). What usually happens is the student does days of Alternative Provision and receives minimal education. We essentially baby sit - at great expense to the tax payer. How, as mainstream schools, can we set these young people up for a future beyond education where they can be successful and have a fulfilling life; whilst also delivering value for public money?

What sustains you and supports your resilience Katherine in continuing to do what you do in the face of outright hate?

A common goal and individual striving to that common goal is our strength. The total opposite of diversity

American here. Looking at the differences between the US and Europe I tend to think that diversity may be our strength, even if it does not seem to be yours.

Do you think there are just some societies that are better equipped to handle multiculturalism than others?
