How can Mehdi justify his accusation of genocide? The crime of genocide has specific elements including: "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such." According to the anti-Israel crowd, Israel wants to expel the Palestinians. Compare this to other acts of genocide in which the victims were prevented from escaping. Israel is completely militarily dominant, why not execute this intent if it existed? Could it really be argued at this point that Israel is in any way restrained by international pressure?

Why do Palestinians have a right to return to the precise neighborhood/home they left after the rejection of the partition plan? Can you name another example of this right in recorded history? Do Armenians, Mizrachi/Sephardi Jews, Cubans, Venezuelans, Syrians, Pakistanis, etc. have this right? During the 1940s, 30 million Europeans were displaced by war. 90 million people in China fled during the '40s as well. (Citation below). What of their rights to return? How far back does this right go?

There are far more refugees from Venezuela or Iran, for example, yet no specific Venezuelan or Iranian refugee agency exists and Venezuelans/Iranians in diaspora are exceptionally successful in their new home countries.

I think one of the things that erodes trust in left-leaning media is treating every right-wing claim as fabricated when clearly some aren't. So I want to ask you to do something specific. I'm going to give you five buckets and I'd like you to put at least one real policy issue into each one.
1) The right is manufacturing or exaggerating a problem for political gain
2) The right is identifying a real problem but getting the cause wrong
3) The right is correctly identifying a real problem but their solution is too harsh or has tradeoffs you're uncomfortable with
4) The right is mostly correct and the left is in denial or being dishonest about it
5) Both sides have a piece of the truth but are talking past each other
