American Jews vote for Democrats over Republicans 2 to 1 or 3 to 1. I think it’s similar for the Jewish diaspora in other countries. Since Oct 7th many Jews have voiced their sense of betrayal by the Left who are backing Hamas, but getting these Jews to consider engagement with the Center Right has been like pulling teeth. What would it take to change this? To be clear, I’m not talking about a conversion to conservative politics, they are liberals after all, just cooperation against the rising tide of Jew-hatred.

Hi Melanie, i used to read your articles in The Times, out of those journalists you used to work with there or at other papers - what is the general attitude of current affairs of those that you are still in touch with - right or left leaning?
Given how captured and systematically manipulated into antisemitic war machines the Universities in UK and USA have become, what will it take to turn these organizations around? Who can do it? And How?
Why have journalists picked a political side and only reported what they see fit to report, rather than stating the facts and letting people decide for themselves?

When I was living in Berkeley, California, my parents were living across the Bay (San Francisco Bay) in Marin County. There were the occasional noisy protests (and riots, small and not so small) in town, and on one late local news broadcast there was video of protesters marching down the street on which I lived. My Mother saw this news broadcast and called me, asking if my house was on fire and if I was safe. This was the impression created by the TV news, and belied the reality that the protest was rather modest and orderly.
Perhaps I, like my Mother, am misinformed by misleading commentaries, that London IS unsafe and rather lawless, and that women are constantly being harassed and even raped, and men are being stabbed.
As accurately as you are able please comment: how safe is London, one of the greatest and beloved cities in the world?
Melamine, can you please explain why prominent British Journalists are so openly ignoring the mounting evidence of the behaviour of radical islam?
Over 100 murders in the name of islam in the uk in 20 years. 1000s of grooming gang victims with court proven evidence and testimony. The 1000s of videos of muslim imams all over social media, openly stating “We will soon have the majority and then we will Tax them for being non-muslims. Their women will be subjugated and used how we see fit” Why do do people like Owen Jones so blatantly ignore the stories of rape and murder in the name of islam in the UK and the 1000s of video evidence that plainly states their intentions going forward?
Although Starmer, as of this morning as I write has announced his resignation, how do you think Starmer the human rights lawyer would view the scenes of summary execution in Gaza after his recognition of a Palestinian state?

Also, we have our first ever trip to Israel planned for summer 2027 for our sons Bar Mitzvah. My husbands parents always dreamed of going to the Holy Land, but my husband is now very nervous about safety. Should we keep our plans?
