As nerds, do we need to learn to more quickly let go of IPs that have gone stale rather than desperately try to hold on to the IP that has been turned into a “Woke Skinsuit”? I’ve found myself much more satisfied no longer caring at all what happens to Star Trek or Star Wars, and limiting my canon to the good stuff. (I can’t fully follow this advice as the unholy Rings of Power still sets me off.)
Why do entertainment businesses seem so immune to economic incentives? Are internal company social pressures that much stronger than normal financial expectations? If so, why do boards of directors, who are supposedly responsive to shareholders, refuse to control their companies?

Is the negation of young men over the past decade Hollywoods fatal blow to itself? If Hollywood fails to reach the generation of the future, does that not guarantee its demise in the long run?
