Colin Brazier built a three-decade career in British broadcast journalism, joining Sky News in 1997 and staying 24 years, first as Europe and political correspondent, then as a main anchor. He reported from major conflict zones including Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Lebanon, and covered breaking events like the Tunisian terror attacks and Nepal earthquake. In 2016 he won an Emmy for his refugee-crisis coverage, having been tear-gassed by Hungarian police at the Serbian border. He drew criticism in 2014 for handling victims' belongings while reporting live from the MH17 crash site, later apologising. After Sky, he joined GB News (2021–22) and then LBC, before leaving journalism entirely in 2023 to train as a farmer.

When James Holland was on the show, he pointed out that democratic Germany was actually doing rather well, and it was only when there was an economic shock in the form of 1929 that we actually saw Fascism (as well as non-Russian communism) appear as a serious geopolitical problem.
