The total valuation of the 6 largest US government military contractors COMBINED, aka the Military Industrial Complex, is roughly $752 billion (Raytheon $261 billion, Boeing $150 billion, Lockheed Martin $127 billion, General Dynamics $93 billion, Northrop Grumman $74 billion, L3Harris Technologies $46 billion). That’s far below single companies like Apple (~$5 trillion), Alphabet ($4.1 trillion), Microsoft ($4 trillion), Meta ($1.7 trillion), and Walmart ($950 billion). Additionally, these 6 military contractors have made a combined net profit of approximately $340 billion since 2001. That’s on par with Walmart ($320 billion) and Meta ($330 billion) during the same time frame, and far below Alphabet ($665 billion), Microsoft ($700 billion), and Apple ($760 billion).
If the Military Industrial Complex is so powerful as to dictate US foreign policy (starting wars, expand NATO, force regime changes, etc.) how come they make comparatively so little money? And doesn’t this mean that the REAL power brokers behind the US government are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Walmart?
