The same question you asked him last year: “how would you disarm and defeat Hamas if you were PM of Israel on Oct 08th” but this time don't let him off the hook till he answers the question. Push him for detail. Gaza has been turned from an export economy into a military installation over 20 years of Hamas control. Rather than the example of a native American reservation, imagine Manhatten had been taken over by the Mafia, armed by Russia, every building, school and hospital was a military command post. Regularly during rockets into New Jersey, 400 miles of military tunnels covered the entire island and they were intent on killing Americans. They broke out into Connecticut and killed raped and massacred 40,000 people (same, as a ratio of the US population) at a revival of the Woodstock festival, where he was performing and narrowly escaped but his daughter was taken hostage. What would you do? Don't let him give flannel about police.
Second question: you don't care about children dying in war do you? If he claims he does ask him what he has done or said or published about Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, the Congo, Sudan, Iraq, Somalia, Ukraine, Nigeria? Does he know how many children have died in those conflicts? Does he care? If he cares why does he not know?
The total valuation of the 6 largest US government military contractors COMBINED, aka the Military Industrial Complex, is roughly $752 billion (Raytheon $261 billion, Boeing $150 billion, Lockheed Martin $127 billion, General Dynamics $93 billion, Northrop Grumman $74 billion, L3Harris Technologies $46 billion). That’s far below single companies like Apple (~$5 trillion), Alphabet ($4.1 trillion), Microsoft ($4 trillion), Meta ($1.7 trillion), and Walmart ($950 billion). Additionally, these 6 military contractors have made a combined net profit of approximately $340 billion since 2001. That’s on par with Walmart ($320 billion) and Meta ($330 billion) during the same time frame, and far below Alphabet ($665 billion), Microsoft ($700 billion), and Apple ($760 billion).
If the Military Industrial Complex is so powerful as to dictate US foreign policy (starting wars, expand NATO, force regime changes, etc.) how come they make comparatively so little money? And doesn’t this mean that the REAL power brokers behind the US government are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Walmart?
This implies that there is an either-or: either Raytheon and its ilk influence govt and set policy, or Apple and Walmart and consumer-goods providers do. But you probably see that they all influence govt and shape its policies.
Apple and the rest absolutely have an interest in the US stabilizing/pacifying Africa so that they can get needed material resources and also sell their creations to that market.
Beyond their business in commercial airlines, what would sustain the military-supply companies if their products went used (and no need for manufacturing replacements) due to a very tranquil world and peace-making US govt?
Let's imagine a world where Dave Smith foreign policy is implemented and the US announces that they are no longer going to "police the world"
Do you believe that no other country will step in to take that role (on a global or regional level) or is that just something you're willing to accept?
It's pre-october 7, and Netanyahu comes to you and says "Qatar, is asking if they can funnel money to gaza to placate hamas and keep things quiet. Can you give me a justification, from a libertarian perspective, to prevent the funds from going?"
Dave - I share most of your anti-war philosophy, but do you make room for "just war theory"? That is, how do you deal with the bad guys of the world that seek to do us harm - but at the same time be anti-war?
Genghis Khan's tyranny was limited by horses' speeds and range, but Stalin had no such limitations to oversight and control of people and territory; the Stasi were even more easily able to surveil and manipulate people, and today's liberal democracies have even greater technological ability for effortlessly outdoing past dictatorships.
Technology's advances clearly lessen human freedom; any idea how this erosion of freedoms could be reversed? Have you any empirical reason to think that real freedom can persist despite the technological powers to come over the next decades?
You have used quotes and statements from various Israeli officials and official sources (Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Yoav Gallant, IDF, and Mossad) as evidence of war crimes and genocide in Palestine. At other times you have claimed that the very same officials and organizations are lying. How do you personally discern between when Israeli officials are lying and when they are telling the truth?
I have a comment about the Iran war that I'd like you to put to Dave.
The common perception is that it was solely driven on behalf of Israel. However, the bigger issue, in my view, is to prevent Iran becoming North Korea Mark 2.
North Korea built a missile program, pointed 100,000 missiles at Seoul, then developed its nuclear weapons program.
Pyongyang warned that any attack on its nuclear weapons program would immediately lead to the flattening of Seoul. They now have missiles that can reach America's West Coast.
Contrary to popular Western perception, Iran has a highly developed education system, which produces very sophisticated scientists. As has been proven since this war began, its missile technology is amongst the most advanced in the world. It's ballistic missiles can certainly reach several European capitals, even as far North as Paris and London. Its warheads are so sophisticated that the only defense against them requires interception in space.
This all matters because once Iran has built its missile shield, and like North Korea did before, it will be totally impervious to threats or pressure from the West. At some stage its missiles would/will be able to reach the continental USA.
A government's primary responsibility is the defense of its citizens. Would that President Trump were able to enunciate any of this, he might have even got the Europeans to join in.
Forever grateful for the streams you did with Michael Malice during the Wuflu government overreach. That and RAW were the only things keeping me sane. Thank you brothers.
Is it knob month at Triggernometry ?
How dare you? It’s a knob year 😂

Switching to Israel, I want to ask

Does he regret that way he handled the Douglas Murray situation and has he had any communication with him?

Ask him to use Logic against KK’s arguments
Given Trumps inexplicable leanings to the Kremlin do the seedier revolations of the Steele dossier hold any water for you?
