You must be aware and immensely irritated that Western Civilisation, "the Renaissance" and its literary canon have been singled out for special censure and even dispensed with as a "detail of history". Is it time to go unapologetically full-on against cultural relativism and and loudly trumpet our own?

Many great civilizations declined after periods of prosperity. Are there historical warning signs from Rome, Renaissance Italy, or elsewhere that you see in the modern West?
