Sarah Haider is an activist and writer. She has spent much of her professional life in the charitable world, co-founding two nonprofit organisations. She is the founder of advocacy group Ex-Muslims of North America, which seeks to normalise religious dissent and to help former Muslims leave the religion by linking them to support networks. Her work has been covered in numerous outlets, including BBC, The Economist, The Stranger and Quillette and in 2018, she was recognised as a “Freethought Heroine” by the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Today she spends more of her time thinking and writing about belief, social dynamics, and culture on her Substack.
Tomorrow, she is coming on the show to discuss her thoughts on how intellectuals who reject ordinary patriotism often transfer that attachment onto foreign causes, and what this means for politics and integration in the West.

The Triggernometry merch store is built on Shopify.
When we started Triggernometry, the to-do list never stopped growing. Scripts, setup, branding, distribution, revenue. Every day brought a new problem that needed an answer, and figuring it all out alone is overwhelming.
For us and millions of businesses, the tool that cuts through all of that is Shopify.
Right now you can sign up for just one pound per month on a trial basis. That is full access to the entire platform for the price of nothing.

Do you think its true that although most "good" muslims are non violent, the same people will ignore the extremists and put their behaviour down as acts of god or such rather than callout the terrorism, so in the sense none can really ever be fully trusted?
How do you think ot came to be that westerners came to believe that Muslims, a people that are the 2nd largest religion on earth, are some kind of put upon global minority?
